August Activities
TEEN EXPLOSION!
Dear Teenager,
A lot of excitement is going on at
Batavia Baptist Temple. First, we are
working on remodeling the old Teen Sunday School room into a Teen Center with a
concession booth, plasma screen TVs, video games, Ping-Pong, air hockey,
foosball, and pool tables. The old pews
are being replaced with cushioned chairs that hook together. Also, someone has donated an electric baby
grand piano for us to have in our youth building. This will be a great place to hang out, learn about God and
learn to live for Him and worship Him!
The second exciting thing going on is
Teen Explosion. Every year for the past
25 years, Teen Explosion has happened at the same time as the little kids’ Vacation
Bible School. This year it is
separate. There will be no little kids
on the buses or at the services. It
will be strictly for teens. Teen
Explosion is August 18-20 – just in time to get you charged up and give you
something awesome to do right before school starts. Enclosed with this letter is a flyer. Show your friends and bring them along for this awesome
time. There will be skits, great music,
fiery and inspirational preaching, food and drinks, competitions, waterslide,
“battle of the schools” (come and represent your school), and prizes (iPod
Nano, a new skateboard and more). It
will be the 3 best nights of your summer.
Teen Explosion will give you an
opportunity to see the Teen Center and become a part of something big. Invite your friends. It’s free, fun and action packed. Come and be a part.
